Terms of Use
Last updated: May 23, 2026 Welcome to DreamPath (“DreamPath”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). DreamPath is an educational career-exploration app designed to help students and young adults learn about different careers and pathways. By downloading, accessing, or using DreamPath (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App. 1. Purpose of the App DreamPath is provided for informational and educational purposes only. The App offers career exploration content, quizzes, recommendations, and other tools to help users learn about potential careers. DreamPath does not: • guarantee admission to any school or program • guarantee employment or earnings • provide professional career, legal, financial, or psychological advice Users should consult qualified professionals or advisors before making important education or career decisions. 2. Eligibility DreamPath is intended for users aged 13 and older. To support this, the minimum grade available at signup is 8th grade (typically age 13 or older). By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created a DreamPath account, please contact us at Support@dreampathcareer.com and we will delete the account and its data promptly. If DreamPath is used in a school setting where students under 13 may access the App through school authorization, we will work with the school to meet applicable requirements under COPPA, including school-operator authorization and appropriate notice to parents. Use by Minors (Under 18) If you are under the age of 18, you may only use DreamPath with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Because contracts entered into by minors may be voidable under applicable law, DreamPath requires that a parent or guardian review and agree to these Terms before or alongside the minor's use of the App. By allowing a minor in your care to create an account or use DreamPath, you, as the parent or legal guardian, agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf and accept responsibility for the minor's use of the App, including any content they submit and any obligations arising under these Terms. If you are a minor and you do not have a parent or guardian who has agreed to these Terms, you are not authorized to use DreamPath. DreamPath reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account where we have reason to believe a minor is using the App without appropriate parental or guardian oversight, or where a user has misrepresented their age. 3. User Accounts and Security DreamPath requires a user account to save progress, favorites, and quiz results. You agree to: • provide accurate and complete information when creating an account • maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials • be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account • notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused or that violate these Terms. 4. Acceptable Use You agree not to: • use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation • attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the App, its servers, or networks • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access source code or underlying algorithms • upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate • impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity • use the App to send spam, advertisements, or other unauthorized communications • use the App to collect or harvest personal information about other users We reserve the right to remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms. 5. Intellectual Property The App and all content within it, including but not limited to text, graphics, icons, logos, images, user interface elements, quizzes, recommendations, and other materials (collectively, the “Content”), are owned by DreamPath or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may use the App and Content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App or Content without our prior written permission. DreamPath displays career information that may be derived from public data sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and O*NET® data. These third-party data sources remain the property of their respective owners. DreamPath is not endorsed by or affiliated with any government agency. Career information derived from U.S. government sources such as BLS OOH and O*NET® data is used under the public-domain or licensed terms of those providers. DreamPath may modify, summarize, or contextualize source information for educational use. USDOL/ETA has not approved, endorsed, or tested DreamPath’s modifications to O*NET® information. DreamPath is not affiliated with any government agency. 6. Third-Party Services and Links The App may contain links to third-party websites or services, including career resources, school websites, or external articles. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites or services. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those sites. Some sponsored content may contain external links to school or program websites. DreamPath is not responsible for the privacy practices, accuracy, or content found on external websites. Your use of external links is governed by those websites’ own terms and policies. DreamPath uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand how the App is used. By using the App, you acknowledge that pseudonymous usage data (such as pages visited and session duration) may be processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection as described in our Privacy Policy. 7. Privacy Your use of DreamPath is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. 8. Disclaimers DreamPath is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to: • implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement • any warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components • any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of career information or recommendations You understand that career markets, educational requirements, and labor data change over time, and we cannot guarantee that any information within the App will remain current or suitable for your individual situation. Career Information Disclaimer All career information within DreamPath — including job titles, salary ranges, employment outlooks, required education, and career pathways — is provided for informational and educational purposes only. This information is derived from publicly available sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and O*NET® and may not reflect current market conditions, regional variations, individual employer requirements, or recent changes to any occupation or industry. DreamPath does not warrant that salary figures, hiring trends, or job outlook data are accurate, complete, or up to date at the time you view them. Labor markets change frequently, and actual salaries, demand, and requirements may differ significantly from what is displayed. You should consult current job postings, industry professionals, school counselors, or official government sources before making any education or career decision. DreamPath does not guarantee admissions, scholarships, job placement, enlistment eligibility, or acceptance into any program displayed in sponsored content. 9. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, DreamPath and its creators, officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for: • decisions you make about education, training, or employment based on information in the App • any lost opportunities, lost income, or other financial losses • any damage to devices, data, or systems resulting from your use of the App Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. 10. Indemnification You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DreamPath and its creators, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the App. 11. Changes to the App and Terms We may update or modify the App, add or remove features, or discontinue the App at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes to the Terms means you accept the updated Terms. 12. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT. A. Informal Resolution First Before filing any arbitration or legal claim, you agree to first contact DreamPath at Support@dreampathcareer.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute. You must describe the nature of your claim and the relief you are seeking. DreamPath will have 30 days to respond and attempt resolution. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed to arbitration as described below. B. Binding Arbitration If informal resolution fails, you and DreamPath agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App — including questions about the validity or scope of this arbitration agreement — will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. Arbitration is administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (available at www.adr.org). The arbitrator may award any remedy that would be available in court. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. C. Exceptions Either party may: • Bring an individual claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies under that court's rules • Seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief from a court to prevent irreparable harm (for example, to protect intellectual property or stop unauthorized use of the App) D. Class Action Waiver YOU AND DREAMPATH EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any class or representative proceeding. If a court finds this waiver unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be severed and litigated in court; the rest of this arbitration agreement remains in effect. E. Fees and Location For claims under $10,000, DreamPath will pay all AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees unless the arbitrator finds the claim frivolous. For larger claims, fees are allocated per AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions. Any in-person proceedings will be held in Texas or at a mutually agreed location. F. Opt-Out You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing Support@dreampathcareer.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of the date you first agreed to these Terms. Your message must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you are opting out. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court under Section 13 (Governing Law). Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms. G. Severability If any part of this arbitration agreement (other than the class action waiver in Section 12D) is found unenforceable, that part will be severed and the remainder will continue in full effect. 13. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. If you have opted out of arbitration under Section 12F, or if a claim falls within an exception in Section 12C, any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. 14. Sponsored Content and Paid Placements DreamPath may display sponsored content, paid placements, or promotional listings from colleges, universities, trade schools, certification programs, employers, military branches, or other educational organizations (“Sponsors”). These placements support the App and help us offer free or low-cost educational tools. Sponsored content is displayed in a non-targeted, non-personalized, contextual manner. Sponsored programs and schools appear on career pages based solely on the career topic being viewed — for example, a nursing school may appear on a Registered Nurse career page because the content matches, not because of anything DreamPath knows about you. A student who views that career page will see the same sponsored programs regardless of their name, grade, quiz results, or any other personal information. DreamPath does not use personal data, behavioral tracking, or user profiles to decide which sponsored items are shown. For students using DreamPath through school authorization, DreamPath does not use personal information collected under that authorization for sponsored content, sponsor reporting, advertising, or other unrelated commercial purposes. Sponsors may pay to appear in certain sections of the App; however: • All sponsored content is clearly labeled (e.g., “Sponsored,” “Featured,” or “Paid Placement”) • Sponsors do not receive access to personal information about users • Sponsors do not receive analytics identifying individual users • DreamPath does not endorse or guarantee any Sponsor, program, or offering • Any interactions you have with sponsored content are entirely voluntary. DreamPath is not responsible for the accuracy, content, policies, or actions of any Sponsor. Any admissions decisions, outcomes, financial aid, employment results, or enrollment decisions are solely between you and the Sponsor. 15. Advertiser Code of Conduct All Sponsors advertising or promoting programs through DreamPath agree to: • Provide truthful, accurate, and non-deceptive information • Avoid guarantees of admissions, financial aid, scholarships, or employment • Avoid manipulative or aggressive recruitment tactics • Refrain from collecting personal information through DreamPath • Comply with all applicable laws, including COPPA, FERPA, and FTC requirements • Ensure no content is inappropriate for minors or misleading in any way DreamPath reserves the right to reject or remove any Sponsor or advertisement that violates this Code of Conduct. 16. External Link Disclaimer Sponsored content may contain links to external school or program websites. These websites are not controlled by DreamPath. DreamPath is not responsible for: • their privacy practices • the accuracy of their information • their marketing or recruitment activities • the security of their sites Users and parents should review the privacy policies of external websites before providing any information.
